+ Being the 'Go-to Cancer Hospital' For Pets  is very important

Our mission at BVSC is to help all cancer patients achieve the best opportunity for a cure and experience the best quality of life possible during and after treatment, while empowering the whole family with knowledge, choices and good communication.

Cancer all too commonly affects our fur-family members. Receiving a cancer diagnosis can be very difficult. The helplessness felt in the wake of a cancer diagnosis leads to the question, “what do I do now?”

The good news is that our oncology team at BVSC is here to help.

+ Why choose BVSC for cancer treatment?

BVSC is the 'GO-TO' CANCER HOSPITAL'.  We have years of experience and our teams have highly sophisticated expertise.  BVSC is the longest running radiation oncology veterinary hospital in the southern hemisphere, with Australia’s first board-certified veterinary radiation oncologist and surgical oncologist.  Australia’s first veterinary medical oncologist was trained here.  BVSC was founded on experience treating animals with cancer extending back to 1986.  With a proven track record starting in 2007, BVSC has been irradiating onsite with our dedicated linear accelerator, allowing the radiation oncologist, radiation therapists and nurses to seamlessly oversee the animals during their entire treatment. Our patients remain in the comfort of our hospital and are not transported to another location for radiation treatment.

BVSC is generally known by the veterinary community as the ‘cancer hospital’ and many thousands of animal cancer patients have been treated here.  BVSC is the home of the Australian Animal Cancer Foundation, with our team at the forefront of the latest oncology treatments and research.  Our oncology surgery specialist team work closely with the medicine and radiation teams, liaising to provide the best treatment, or combination of treatments for each individual cancer patient.  We involve and empower the owners and communicate promptly and continuously with the referring veterinarians throughout the entire treatment course and into the follow-up months to years.

BVSC regularly treats oncology patients from far and wide including, all Australian states and territories, as well as New Zealand. We are proud of our reputation and continuously strive to improve outcomes and reduce side effects.  You can trust your fur family to BVSC and our renowned Specialty Care with Compassion.
